It does add one or two new structures however it's crowning feature, for me at least, is the fact the Tau can have both the Mont'Ka and Kauyon Command Posts together giving them full access to their own arsenal. Lights of the Warp add a handful of new units across all the factions and I believe there is now a Soulstorm version but I may be wrong I can't remember. The latter allows for the Baneblade (which has a bigger model than in original DoW and finally has its appropriate Landkreuzer proportions) and more than twenty different types of vehicles. Alternatively, you can have the infantry doctrine (haven't tried it yet) or the armour one. They're (as of yet) also the only faction that can hire Grey Knights and Grey Knight Land Raiders - if you go for the Inquisition doctrine, that is. They're several times better in the mod than in vanilla DoW.

For my favourite faction, these include Dire Avengers, Striking Scorpions, Wraithguards, Wave Serpents, the Scorpion tank, and a confusing variety of militia units and artillery support platforms.Īlso, this mod allows for a lot of unit upgrades for several factions that are most interesting (I always go for maximum dakka though).

It's strictly based on Tabletop rules, allows you to zoom out much more than DoW vanilla (in DoW the maximum camera distance is still annoyingly close) and comes with a crapton of new units.
